Silkworm Care & Storage
- Housing: Our cups come pre-loaded with silkworm chow and climbing material. Store the cups upside down so waste falls away from the food for a cleaner environment.
- Growth Rate: At room temperature (up to 80°F), silkworms grow incredibly fast, often doubling in size every week.
- Temperature Control: To slow growth, keep them at 60°F. Warning: Temperatures below 60°F can cause them to stop eating and die.
- Maintenance: If mold appears due to moisture, carefully remove it immediately to prevent it from spreading.

- Someone must be available to receive the package promptly at delivery.

FAQ
While they are naturally high in calcium, we still recommend a light dusting for growing reptiles, though they require much less supplementation than crickets or mealworms.
At approximately 2-3", silkworms are fully grown and will prepare to spin a cocoon. They may fall to the bottom of the cup during this time.
